Digging for Gold

With Gold above a $1000, you won't be surprised to learn that there is gold is all over the place in NYC.

The Federal Reserve Bank

There's a reason psychotic ex-German military officers tried to rob this place in Die Hard with a Vengance - there's so much gold!  The Federal Reserve's vault contains more than 540,000 bars of gold worth more than $200 billion - that's more gold than in Fort Knox and about 25% of the world's gold reserves.  The vault is open to the public, click here to learn more.  It's worth the trip. Tiffany
Gold plays a supporting role in many of Tiffany's high end jewelry.  There are of course many diamonds and precious stones to see (5th Avenue & 57th Street Map).

Trump Tower
While the real gold is probably found in the Donald's apartment, there's enough fake gold to make you think you are in Las Vegas (5th Avenue & 56th Street Map).

The Diamond District
Along 47th street between 5th and 6th Avenue lies one of the world's largest diamond districts, but there's also plenty of gold to be found here. Map

Goldman Sachs
With their profits, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that their new building is made of gold.
